My Deen, Muslim — Last updated: 14 September 2026

Privacy first. My Deen is designed to provide prayer times, Qibla, Quran, learning, reminders and related Islamic utilities while limiting data collection to what is reasonably necessary to operate the app.

1. Who operates My Deen?

My Deen, Muslim is operated by independent developer Jonas Bader in Belgium.

Privacy contact: baderjonas@icloud.com

2. Information used by the app

Depending on the features you choose to use, My Deen may process information such as app preferences, selected language, prayer settings, notification preferences, subscription status and locally stored app data.

3. Location and Qibla

If you grant location permission, My Deen may access your device location to calculate local prayer times, determine the Qibla direction and provide relevant location-based religious utilities.

My Deen does not sell your precise location and does not intentionally provide your precise prayer-location data to advertisers for ad targeting.

4. Motion and compass information

Device motion and compass information may be processed on your device to provide the Qibla direction. This information is used for app functionality and is not sold to advertisers.

5. Notifications and Adhan reminders

If you enable notifications, My Deen uses notification permissions and locally calculated prayer information to schedule prayer and Adhan reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in the app or through your device settings.

6. Quran and audio services

Quran text, translations, recitations or downloadable audio may be retrieved from external Quran content providers. When your device connects to an external service, normal network information such as your IP address may be processed by that provider.

7. Subscriptions

My Deen Pro subscriptions are purchased and managed through the applicable app store. RevenueCat is used to help determine subscription status and entitlement access.

My Deen does not receive your full payment-card details. Payment processing is handled by Apple or another applicable app-store provider.

8. Advertising in the Free version

The Free version of My Deen may display advertising using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). My Deen Pro is designed to remain completely ad-free.

Advertising is intentionally excluded from active worship and sacred experiences such as Quran reading or playback, prayer guidance, Wudu, Qibla, Tasbih and Adhan flows.

My Deen also applies advertising placement and category restrictions intended to reduce inappropriate or unsuitable advertising. Because programmatic advertising is supplied by third parties, it is not possible to guarantee the content of every individual advertisement.

9. Advertising data and consent

Google Mobile Ads may process device information, app information, advertising identifiers where permitted, network information, advertising interactions and consent choices for purposes such as delivering, measuring, limiting and protecting advertising.

Where required by law, My Deen requests an advertising privacy choice before advertising services are fully activated. Users in applicable regions can also review or change their advertising privacy choices.

10. European privacy choices

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, My Deen uses a consent-management flow for advertising where required. You may be offered choices regarding consent, non-consent and advertising preferences.

11. United States privacy choices

Users in applicable U.S. states may receive additional privacy choices where required by state privacy law and supported by our advertising providers.

12. Local storage

A significant portion of My Deen settings and app state is stored locally on your device. Removing the app may remove locally stored information, although purchases and subscriptions associated with your app-store account remain managed by the relevant store.

13. Data sharing

My Deen does not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers only where needed to provide features such as subscriptions, content delivery, notifications or advertising.

14. Data security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to reduce unauthorised access, misuse or disclosure. No digital system can guarantee absolute security.

15. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal or other privacy choices.

You may also change device permissions at any time through your operating system settings.

16. Advertising privacy preferences

Where required or available, My Deen will provide an in-app option to review advertising privacy preferences after the initial consent flow.

17. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when My Deen features, service providers, legal requirements or privacy practices change. The updated date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
